Built by a 3PL, for 3PLs

Your returns just became a profit center.

Outpost helps 3PLs inspect returns, document every item with photos, sync the results back to ShipHero, and automatically bill clients for the work they're already paying employees to do.

Works with ShipHero · No per-seat pricing

The state of returns

Every 3PL absorbs the mess. Almost none of them bill for it.

Inspecting, grading, photographing, repacking. Real labor, every day, invoiced at zero.

Nothing is provable

Grading lives on a clipboard. Work you can't prove is work you can't bill.

Brands are in the dark

“What happened to my return?” takes twenty minutes to answer.

The money stays on the table

The labor disappears into storage and pick fees.

At the bench

Pick what you found. The rules decide the rest.

Every reason routes to an outcome, a photo requirement and a bin, so you get the same answer whoever is at the table. Billable work gets logged as you go. Try it:

The product

From the moment the box lands to the invoice you send.

One scan matches the package to its RMA and lists the expected items. No hunting through a spreadsheet.

Why it's different

Written at the bench, not in a boardroom.

We built Outpost inside our own 3PL, and it runs a live bench there every day on real volume. Every screen exists because someone standing at a returns table needed it.

So the flow assumes gloves and barcode guns, photo requirements are enforced rather than suggested, and we built billing in from day one instead of bolting it on once customers asked.

One decision per screen, so new staff are productive the same day
Photo evidence enforced on the outcomes that carry money
Kits explode into components so each piece is graded and billed
Your WMS stays the system of record. Outpost writes back to it
What it's worth

You're already doing the work. This is what billing for it looks like.

Move the sliders to your own volume. Every number below updates as you go.

4,000
$2.50
Typical rate is $3.25

$199/month plus $0.25 per item, carrier tracking included. No client or seat charge. Services you bill on top, like folding and bagging, are not counted here, so treat this as the floor.

You'd invoice your clients
$10,000
Outpost costs you
$1,199

Left over, every month
$8,801

That's $105,612 a year on work your team is already doing.

At the typical $3.25 per return, the same month leaves $11,801. That is $3,000 more for exactly the same work.

Questions

Straight answers.

Which WMS do you work with?

ShipHero, natively. Returns, products, inventory and order history all sync both ways. Mirakl marketplace returns work too. We build other WMS integrations on request.

How long does it take to get running?

Connecting ShipHero and pulling in your clients takes minutes. The real work is deciding your grading reasons, bins and rate card. That's usually an afternoon, and we sit with you for it.

Do my clients get access?

Yes. Each brand gets their own login that shows only their returns, with photos and outcomes. You control what they see.

What does it cost?

A monthly base plus usage. The full breakdown is on the pricing page. There's no per-seat charge, so putting your whole floor team on it costs nothing extra.

Who built this?

An operating 3PL. We run it on our own floor before anyone else gets it, which is why it's shaped like the job instead of like a database.

See it run on your own returns.

A 20-minute call: we'll walk the bench flow, connect it to a test ShipHero account, and show you what a month of your returns would have billed.
